Going to get ready for the TOR Hangout, keep looking for for work (did I mention I need a job? I know, I am not alone.) keep tweeking the streaming setup, work on some more animations, just keep busy.

I've not been following, has NDA been lifted? Or was that just for 'proper' journalists?
ReplyDeleteNeither. The press embargo was a partial lift on information for press outlets that were invited to play the beta.

ReplyDeleteI'll tell you one thing. I've gone back to WoW for stress relief, and can say that the mechanics there are smooth like butter. The story is stale, but the mechanics of pushing buttons and having things happen on screen is the height of any MMO I've played.
ReplyDeleteMy excitement is wearing off a little for TOR. Great story, don't get me wrong, but there are significant hurdles to over come to feel right under the fingers.
Thanks to you I turned my WoW account back on saturday night. Trying to get my warlock to 85. And I do agree .... everything works. It works perfectly. Guild System, LFG, leveling, skills, everything.... its all there. And it works. Its great!
ReplyDeleteWhat I struggle with is that I don't care about any of the quests. I don't read the text, i just run off and and kill x mobs. over and over again. I tried a little PvP battlegrounds as well and I just could not get into it at all. I am going to level my lock and probably cancel again. :(
LFG is the killer app of WoW. You're right, questing has become about like playing solitaire, which is what I need at the moment, but a couple of times a day I'll jump into a LFG queue, with quick times since I'm speced Tank/Healer and enjoy doing both roles. This is really where WoW shines. Even with the terrible PuGs you run into every now and then, the ability to queue and go is incredibly powerful.
