I have a Droid X....successfully rooted it a month or so back and then went back to stock...didn't even try any ROMs because most all of them said things like "Works great...still working on Blutooth though" "Everything is perfect....although WiFi drops off and you need to reconnect" "Like a Dream....still no camera use though"
ReplyDeleteI felt I would be trading my phones features for freedom to install falkey software. Pass.
Now when a whole new version comes out (aka 4.0) and Moto/Verizon refuses to port it over to an older phone (original Droid X) You can bet i'll go ahead and root again....unless I have the $$ to snag up a Galaxy Nexus.
I had run Cyanogen on my Droid without any issue. They do say in the disclaimer that some things can go wrong but for me it worked well.
ReplyDeleteThat is the issue with me. I suspect even the X2 wont get the port for some time. Its all a waiting game and seeing if I want/need the new features.
